Marcus Ajian

Marcus Ajian, 32, formerly of Sandusky, passed away peacefully in his residence in Columbus, Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014.He was born in Sandusky, Feb. 13, 1982 to Peggy Lee Grant. He was later adopted and raised by John Ajian in Ashland, Ohio.Macus attended Ashland High School and attended classes at Columbus State University. He had a special talent in cage fighting and was known affectionately as Mr. Beatdown Marcus Ajian. Marcus fought for Team Beatdown in Sandusky. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Marcus is survived by his beloved son, Jaquez Ajian of Sandusky; daughters, Daisha Ajian of Ashland, and Janice of Vermilion; his adopted father, John Ajina of Ashland; sisters, Tina A. Ajian, Nikki M. Ajian, Chameeka Grant of Las Vegas, and Denisha George of Sandusky; brothers, Andre (Teresa) Grant of Sandusky, Justin (Hope) Ajian of Sandusky, Khari Grant of North Carolina, Robert Ajian, Leonard Ajian, and Neil Ajian; six aunts, Diane Brown, Nettie Renee Grant Brown, Dora Grant, Jackie Moore, all of Sandusky, Jeanette Parker of Cincinnati, and Bessie Brown of Georgia; four uncles, Tommy Brown, Rex Brown, Paul Brown, all of Sandusky, Jerry Grant of Kentucky; three special cousins, Allen, Henrine and Jaquan Walker; friend, Bo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Grant in 2004; grandmother, Sadie Mae Grant in 2004; grandfather, Billy Brown; uncles, Kenneth Earl Grant Sr. in 1989; Freddie Brown, Que Brown, Bull Brown, Calvin "Flip" Brown and J.B. Brown; and two aunts, Janice Bean Brown and Darlene Brown. A memorial service to celebrate Marcus' life will be noon Thursday, Dec. 11, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be give to Andre Grant for Marcus' surviving children.
