55 indicted by Erie County grand jury

Two Sandusky men were indicted this month for allegedly using guns while intoxicated.•Alton Wraggs, 29, who has a Columbus address, was indicted on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, having a weapon under disability, using a weapon while intoxicated, obstruction, inducing panic and resisting arrest.Wraggs was arrested early Aug. 10 outside the Milan Road Bar and Grill after leaving his post-wedding celebration.Sandusky police officers were in the area when they heard a few shots ring out, followed by four to six more, police said.Police soon ordered Wraggs and those around him to get on the ground, but Wraggs allegedly began reaching for his pocket and was tackled as a result.As Wraggs went down, a 9 mm handgun flew to the pavement.Instead of going on his honeymoon, Wraggs was taken to the Erie County jail.•Also indicted was Travis Grant, 34, 1300 block W. Larchmont Drive, on charges of felonious assault, domestic violence, having a weapon under disability, and using a weapon while intoxicated.Grant was arrested July 27 after a Sandusky woman alleged he racked the slide of a handgun while staring her down.The woman later told police she felt Grant had intended to cause her harm when he brandished the loaded weapon, officers said.Grant was originally charged with threat of domestic violence and aggravated menacing, but October's grand jury instead opted to level charges of felonious assault and domestic violence for the incident.An indictment is a formal charge and does not denote guilt or innocence.
