Walleye Festival musical entertainment announced

PORT CLINTON — An annual festival known for its exciting entertainment released its lineup of musical acts for this weekend. The 2018 Walleye Festival, organized by the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, will feature several bands including Gas Station Disco, which will perform from 7-11 p.m. on Friday. Chamber president Nikki Adams described the band as "dynamic" and "unpredictable." The band is known for playing rock, indie pop, and sing along tunes.Country music artist Matt Goodrich will kick off the Saturday entertainment at noon, followed by the duo Bob and Jess at 3:30 p.m.Country group The Eric Sowers Band will close the day on Saturday, from 7-11 p.m."They have quickly become one of northwest Ohio's favorite bands," Adams said of the band. "Combine Eric's edgy liquid-like voice, charismatic smile, sincere modesty, and relentless determination along with the bands musicianship and commanding stage presence, and it is clear to see why they have caught the attention of so many fans."Another act, the Walleyes, begin Sunday's entertainment at noon, followed by Vinyl Groove at 3 p.m. and hometown favorites The Junk, which will close out the night.Hometown singer Jordan Wiewandt begins the festivities at 11 a.m. Monday, while a D.J. from Clyde's T.A.Z.E Entertainment will close out the festival.All entertainment will be at the Waterworks Park in Port Clinton.Email us at news@sanduskyregister.com.
