WATCH: Panic after apparent gunshots at Kalahari

HURON TWP. — Newly released video shows a crowd of people running after a man allegedly fired a gun near Kalahari Resorts on Sunday.Follow this link to watch the video footagePolice responded to a report of a disturbance at Kalahari's Nyumba Entertainment Villas at about 1:15 a.m., according to an Erie County sheriff's office report.Kalahari security told sheriff's deputies the group was evicted from the property because they allegedly smelled marijuana coming from a suite, but the group refused to leave, the report states.Deputies arrived and found a man with a large cut on his head, according to the report. The man said somebody pistol-whipped him after an argument.Read this story as it developed live hereWhile police were leaving the building, someone allegedly fired five or six shots, the report states.Surveillance video appears to show a man, who has not been identified, pull out a gun and fire before putting the weapon away and running from the scene.Police did not find anybody who had been shot, the report states. Several people told police they ducked for cover behind cars as shots rang out.One of those shots apparently hit a nearby car in its rear passenger-side door, according to Erie County sheriff's office Chief Deputy Jared Oliver. Police are trying to recover the bullet.Law enforcement believes 60-70 people were at a suite in the resort for an underage party with alcohol, where the fight allegedly began, according to Oliver. Law enforcement plans to interview the person who rented the suite.Inside the suite, police found alcohol bottles and marijuana, the report states. They also found blood in the main foyer of the villa.At about 2:30 a.m., police found a car believed to be involved and pulled it over at Milan Road and Fun Drive. Police found a gun in the car and charged Samuel McKnight, 19, and Sylvester Harris, 19, both of Cleveland, with carrying a concealed weapon, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.McKnight was also charged with marijuana possession, according to the report.The man who was hit in the head was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatment, the report states. Oliver said McKnight is not the person in the video firing the weapon, and police are still trying to identify the suspect.
