Is all the 'coming and going' at Chesapeake Lofts legal? | Sandusky Register I have been a resident of the Chesapeake Lofts for a couple of years. I have noticed that the place turns into a virtual hotel during summer. Many of the units are rented by the week and even by the day. On the weekend, a person can walk down the hall and smell the odor of weed coming out of numerous units or can trip over beer bottles left in the hallways and in the stairways. There have been times I have seen as many as 24 people staying in a two-bedroom unit. Isn't there a city ordinance that makes that illegal? Many of the owners who live down here are very upset with the situation and feel as though the Chesapeake Lofts has become "Peyton Place." Marilyn on Shoreline Drive
