George Roeder: Many honors | Sandusky Register Monroeville native George Roeder was one of the leading dirt-track motorcycle racers in the country during the 1950s and 1960s. As a member of the Harley-Davidson factory racing team, Roeder won many competitions. His excellence in racing parlayed into an induction in the American Motorcyclist Association Hall of Fame. He died in 2003.
