MetroParks upgrading reservation system

The system will allow the park to post pictures of the property before customers make their reservations. "The park district is looking to creating a more enjoyable experience for their guests, according to a news release "With defined steps and fewer clicks, a customer can register for a program and reserve a facility more quickly. The Park District also has the ability to customize the information available to the public so that it better serves the community member looking for services"Erie MetroParks commissioner Kurt Landefeld said he is excited for the new system."It will be much easier and more efficient use for people to reserve our shelters and do scheduling," Landefeld said.The new reservation software system was funded by donations.Along with the new system, the park will offer extended office hours to be more accessible to the community and its customers.Administrative offices inside the Frost Center at Osborn MetroPark, 3910 Perkins Ave., will now be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.But with the new reservation system, users can plan ahead for decorations and will no longer have to come in during office hours to visit the facility before their event.
