Burdue's Quality Landscaping a cut above the rest

SANDUSKY — Chase Burdue wants to improve the landscape of, well, northern Ohio's landscaping business.In his third year of operating Burdue's Quality Landscaping, the 2006 Edison School graduate set a new goal for himself this season."I'm going to be full-fledged this year," said Burdue, a Perkins Township resident who's a father of two children, ages 3 and 5.Despite juggling his many other responsibilities — Burdue also trains clients at NexXt Level Fit Academy, plays semi-pro football with the Lorain County Nightmares and is getting married to his longtime girlfriend, Sam Simcic, later this year — Burdue remains 100 percent committed to his trade."I have been doing landscaping for about 13 years," he said. "I worked for All Styles Landscaping and had two of the best bosses. "Everything I do is quality, no matter the size. I wake up each morning knowing I can improve someone's home. It's a passion of mine I enjoy doing."Burdue credits his father, Ed Burdue, who owns Ed Burdue & Co. in Sandusky, as a mentor."He is a huge reason why I'm doing this on a bigger level," Burdue said.
