Berlin Heights man charged with domestic violence

BERLIN TWP. — Police arrested a Berlin Heights man who is accused of choking and hitting a woman.Adam Bryant, 34, of the 11300 block of Harmon Road, was charged with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.A woman told police she was with Bryant at a Harmon Road residence at about 11:50 p.m. Saturday when she confronted him about another woman, according to an Erie County sheriff's office report.She said Bryant walked outside and she locked him out, and she attempted to call the other woman, the report states.Before that happened, Bryant opened the door with a spare set of keys and allegedly pushed the woman to the ground, according to the report. The woman claimed he put his hands around her throat and choked her before he punched her in the head and kicked her leg.Deputies found "visible injuries" on the woman's neck and forehead, the report states.When the deputy spoke with Bryant over the phone, he said he was returning to Parma, Ohio, but would turn himself in to the sheriff's office Sunday, according to the report.Bryant did turn himself in Sunday, according to Erie County jail records.
