Family holds out hope

Investigators are waiting on DNA test results to confirm the identity of the body, found Sunday about five feet from the waterline in a remote area along the Sandusky River.The family of Damon Scott, 38, is holding out hope. Scott went missing in January. Scott suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.A fisherman discovered the body at about 1 p.m. along the riverbank in the area of North and Sand streets."It's a very, very remote area along the riverbank. We had to walk through some woods," Sandusky County Sheriff's Detective Jim Consolo said. "He was found about 5 feet from the water, which was pretty low.
