Multiple cars catch fire at NOMS

PERKINS TWP. — At least two cars caught fire at NOMS on West Strub Road.Investigators do not have a cause for the fire, which started just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Perkins Fire Capt. Jim Johnson. Nobody was injured in the blaze. After a Pontiac Montana caught fire, the flames spread to a second vehicle, a Jeep Liberty, Johnson said. Three other nearby cars were damaged.The interior of one of the burned-out cars."When we arrived the original car was totally involved with flames throughout," Johnson said. "A second car was catching fire at that time and others were melting from the heat."The fire apparently spread to this Jeep Liberty.
