New RV amenities rolling into Cedar Point

Just as the landscape of Cedar Point changed initially from a beach resort to the mega-coaster capital of the planet, so have the needs of guests looking to camp.While guests can no longer set up tents in the traditional way — except for special events, like Coaster Campout — the modern Cedar Point offers an RV campground with full hook-up sites, plus cabins and cottages in a variety of sizes to meet your family's needs.In 2018, Cedar Point's Lighthouse Point will offer:• 64 Cottages• 92 Cabins• 95 Standard RV spaces• 25 Ultimate Patio RV sites, which will debut this year.An artist rendering shows what Cedar Point's new Ultimate Patio RV sites, debuting later this year, will look like.Cedar Point is now accepting reservations for a new premium option for guests with motorhomes. The new premium RV sites are on the land once occupied by Breakwater Cafe and parking lot for the former Sandcastle Suites Hotel. Plans for the site of the former hotel have yet to be announced.Each of the new Ultimate Patio RV sites will feature: Concrete sites measuring 70 feet by 12 feet; hookups for electric, water, sewer and cable; free Wi-Fi; expanded private patio seating area with a dining table and six chairs; built-in charcoal grill; a wood-burning fire pit surrounded by four Adirondack-style chairsAdditionally, four of the new sites will include a glider swing with views of Lake Erie.What's a go-to destination?When you think about your summer travel options, we all have a world of possibilities at our disposal.You can visit Paris for that perfect romantic image, hike the Great Wall of China or transcend into the imaginative world of "The Mouse" at a variety of Disney properties.Or you can also check out Ohio's premier resort in our own backyard: Cedar Point.The peninsula offers a world-class amusement park with the best collection of rides and roller coasters on the planet, a mile-long beach with water sports and Cedar Point Shores, a new 18-acre water park debuting last year.Guests who want to visit Cedar Point have options that can fill several days worth of activities.
