PREP ROUNDUP: Seville leads Edison girls golf to NOC tournament win

FREMONT — Behind Annabelle Seville's medalist round of 74, the Edison girls golf team won Thursday's Northern Ohio Conference tournament at the Fremont Country Club. Edison shot a 362 as a team while Clyde was runner-up with a 367. Perkins (391) took fourth, Norwalk (406) finished fifth, Bellevue (425) was sixth, Huron (442) took seventh and Vermilion (493) finished eighth. Port Clinton did not score as a team. Leah Sharp backed Seville with a 90 while Avery Thurston (95) and Ella Rogers (103) rounded out the scoring for the Chargers. Ireland Hart topped Perkins with an 87 while Maycee Bohn and Lucy Miller each fired a 101. Adyson Lepley carded an 88 to lead the Truckers. She was followed by Emma Holbrook (97) and Catherine Beamer (105). Mariska Manning led Bellevue with a 90 while Taylor Waldrup shot a 108. Ashtyn Spooner was second overall to top Huron with a 81. Lindsay Wainright added a 98 for the Tigers. Payton Buchs shot a 108 to lead Vermilion while Paige Johnson topped PC with a 125. Margaretta 8th at SJCC FREMONT — Ellaynah Schaefer was the only golfer for the Polar Bears under 100 at the SJCC Lady Streaks Invitational at the Fremont Country Club. Schaefer carded a 95 for Margaretta, which finished eighth overall with a 438. Hopewell-Loudon won the event with a team score of 356. Van Buren was runner-up with a 362. Kailey Fowler added a 108 for the Polar Bears while Olivia Kimball carded a 117. St. Mary Central Catholic finished 12th with a 493. Alexis Langenberg topped the Panthers with a 104 while Lexi Herzog and Emmalyn Redinger each finished with a 129. Lake 226, Danbury 253 WOODVILLE — Addison Rader carded a 54 as the Lakers came up short in the non-league contest at Hidden Hills Golf Course. Hannah Edwards shot a 64 for Danbury while Molly Dunfee finished with a 66. Samantha Lee added a 69 for the Lakers. TENNIS SMCC 5, Willard 0 SANDUSKY — The Panthers didn't drop a set in the Northwest 7 Tennis Conference victory. Norwalk 3, Madison 0 MANSFIELD — The Truckers picked up a 25-11, 25-12, 25-9 non-league road win over Mansfield Madison. Ainslee King had eight kills and five aces for Norwalk (1-0) while Maddie Gamble smacked six kills. Emily Tyler tallied 22 assists and Sawyer Wineman recorded 15 digs for Norwalk. GIRLS SOCCER Sandusky 1, Old Fort 1 SANDUSKY — The Blue Streaks improved to 0-2-1 with the non-league tie at Foundation Stadium. BOYS SOCCER Edison 8, Oak Harbor 2 MILAN TWP. — Carter Jones and Israyel Bellman each scored three goals as the Chargers rolled in non-league action. Valo Lewis and Ivan Burris also added a goal apiece for Edison (2-0-1).
