Hustle to fair's ice cream booth

A part of the Erie County 4-H youth development network, the Oxford Hustlers 4-H Club organization — an area covering children who live all across Erie County and meet in Oxford Township — teaches leadership, citizenship and life skills. PERKINS TWP. — Ice cream is back at the Erie County Fair. The Oxford Hustlers 4-H Club will be serving up ice cream treats at their popular ice cream booth for the 35th year in a row. The club was started in 1956 and has more than 40 members from Erie County. Each day, kids from the club prepare and serve ice cream, floats and milkshakes. They learn various life skills relating to customer service, leadership, teamwork and how to run a business. The money they earn supports the Oxford Hustlers club and the local community. What's on the menu? The booth offers a variety of Toft Dairy ice cream flavors, either by the bowl or in a milkshake. Among the selection of flavors offered, in no particular order: • Butter pecan • Peanut butter cup • Cookies and cream • Tilly Tracks, either vanilla or peanut butter • Mint chocolate chip • Chocolate chip cookie dough • Muddy's Sea Salt Slam • Black raspberry chocolate chunk • Birthday cake • Caramel espresso chip • Blueberry Waffle Cone. The prices are affordable, and the servings are big because the club wants ice cream to be a treat all families can afford: • A small dish of ice cream is $3 • A regular dish is $4 • Floats are $5 • Milkshakes are $6 Plus there will be limited-edition daily floats. The Oxford Hustler kids have once again gotten creative and will offer daily specialty floats: • Monday — Strawberry delight • Tuesday — Cake pop • Wednesday — Dirty Dr. Pepper. • Thursday — Brown Cow • Friday — Creamsicle • Saturday — Freedom Float The booth also sells water and root beer floats. Rockin' out New this year, each day, four decorated rocks will be hidden around the Erie County Fairgrounds. Each person who finds a rock and brings it to the ice cream booth will receive a free bowl of his/her favorite flavor of ice cream. All are invited to visit the booth during the Erie County Fair, purchase some delicious ice cream, and say, "Hello" to the Oxford Hustlers 4-H kids.
