Major price hikes coming to Cedar Point

SANDUSKY — On Thursday, Cedar Point put its 2027 season passes on sale, and guests should expect to see quite a bit of changes should they elect to purchase them. Pass prices As of now, Cedar Point is offering two different types of passes. Gold pass For $115, down from the regular price of $175, guests can purchase a gold pass. A gold pass totaled $99 for the 2026 season. This pass will get guests access to Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores in 2027 and the remainder of 2026. Additionally, the pass is also valid at parks within the Midwest region, including: • Canada's Wonderland & Splash Works — Vaughan, Ontario, just north of Toronto • Kings Island – Mason, Ohio, north of Cincinnati • Six Flags Darien Lake & Hurricane Harbor – Corfu, New York, between Buffalo and Rochester • Six Flags Great America – Gurnee, Illinois, between Chicago and Milwaukee, Wisconsin • Hurricane Harbor Chicago – Gurnee, Illionis • Hurricane Harbor Rockford – Cherry Valley, Illinois, near Rockford Standard parking is also included at all the Midwest parks with the exception of Canada's Wonderland. Gold passes also get a 10% discount in parks. Prestige pass The second tier is the prestige pass for $279, down from the regular price of $350. A prestige pass totaled $199 for the 2026 season. This plan includes an unlimited standard drink plan valid every 15 minutes. Prestige is also valid at all Six Flags parks and gets guests access to preferred parking at all parks (standard parking at Canada's Wonderland and Knott's Berry Farm, southeast of Los Angeles.) In addition, Prestige passholders get one hour early access to Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores; entry to VIP areas where offered; a free single-use Fast Lane pass per day; and a 15% discount throughout parks. Besides the higher initial price point, there is not much difference in the passes themselves. Where guests are going to see the big differences in all the park add-ons. 2027 dining plans Cedar Point is drastically changing the way dining plans will be used next year. There will be three price points guests will have to decide when purchasing a season pass: • Tier 1, at $125, is valid for 20 meals per season. These are now valid every two hours in 2027. In this new tier, how you elect to use the meals is up to the guest. • Tier 2, at $169, is good for 30 meals per season and double the pass discount on food and beverage purchases. Standard pass discounts equal 10% for gold passholders and 15% for prestige passholders. • Tier 3, at $399, is the only plan offering unlimited meals all season, again valid every two hours. Depending on pass type, the dining plan can be used at other parks. For 2026, Cedar Point offered a prestige dining plan at $155, limiting people to two meals a day but good for an entire season. 2027 all-season Fast Lane In previous years, the price for a Fast Lane pass often varied per park. But this year, Six Flags put a disclaimer that the all-season Fast Lane purchased at other parks was not valid at Cedar Point. For guests who primarily use the Fast Lane at Cedar Point and it is your home park, this means the only option is to buy here. The price to purchase the all-season Fast Lane is now double what it has been since first introduced, going from $999 to now costing $1,999. As with everything, the costs are only going up, and Cedar Point season passes are no different.
