SANDUSKY — Payne Nickles & Co. recently announced the promotion of three professionals: Tyler Puckrin to manager, Jodi Stang to supervisor and Cody Schaffer to senior accountant. "Each of these promotions reflects the trust we place in our team and our ongoing commitment to developing talent at every level of the firm." Tyler Puckrin Puckrin joined Payne Nickles & Co. in July 2020 as a staff accountant and was promoted to senior accountant before earning his certified public accountant designation in 2022. He works primarily in the firm's tax department, preparing business and individual tax returns, and also provides audit and attestation services. Puckrin has a bachelor's degree in agriculture, agricultural operations and related sciences from The Ohio State University and a master of business administration degree with a specialization in accounting from Bowling Green State University. He also serves on the board of Second Harvest Food Bank, including its finance committee. Jodi Stang Stang joined the firm in February 2015 as a staff accountant and was later promoted to senior accountant. She works primarily in the firm's tax department — preparing business, individual, trust and nonprofit tax returns — and also provides consulting and advisory services. Stang has a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Toledo and a master of science in accountancy degree, also from Toledo. She is also actively involved in the community, serving as secretary on the board of the Huron County Community Foundation, on the St. Joseph Parish finance advisory committee and St. Joseph School endowment advisory committee and as a 4-H cloverbud adviser. Cody Schaffer Schaffer joined the firm in January 2024 as an intern and was later hired as a staff accountant in July 2024. He works primarily in the firm's tax department, preparing business and individual tax returns, and also provides audit and attestation services. Schaffer has a bachelor of business administration degree with a specialization in accounting from the University of Toledo where he also minored in finance.
