Police: Drugs found during traffic stop

SANDUSKY — Police charged two people with drug offenses after a Wednesday afternoon traffic stop.Officers arrested Amanda R. Ebinger, 28, of the 2000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road, in Milan, on a fifth-degree felony drug possession charge. Police also cited Kandis M. Burge, 23, of the 600 block of Taylor Street in Sandusky, for misdemeanor marijuana possession.At about 4 p.m., Sandusky officers saw a GMC truck stopped in the middle of River Avenue near Cedar Point Drive holding up traffic, according to a Sandusky police report.Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with its driver, a 75-year-old man, who told police he stopped the car to pick up passengers, the report stated. Burge, Ebinger and a 33-year-old woman were riding in the vehicle.Officers searched the four individuals and allegedly found marijuana in Burge's coat pocket, according to the report.Police also searched the vehicle and fond a black book bag, which Ebinger said was hers.
