Shoppers camp out at Best Buy for Black Friday deals

PERKINS TWP. — The best buys in life are worth the long, cold wait.Residents from across the area camped outside the Best Buy on U.S. 250 by the Sandusky Mall. The shoppers skipped Thanksgiving festivities in hopes of getting the best deals of the season.Miles Mull of Norwalk waited in Black Friday lines for the first time ever in hopes of being one of the lucky customers to purchase a 50-inch TV on sale for just under $400 for a total savings of $300.A line wraps around Best Buy as shoppers wait for the store to open with their Black Friday deals on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017."I've been standing in line since 10:30 a.m. or 11," Mull said.Other customers, like Orville Temple of Sandusky, weren't looking for anything specific, but were hoping to get their holiday shopping done while the deals were good."I'm just hoping to get some Christmas shopping done, games stuff like that," Temple said. "It was the shortest line in Sandusky when I got here."Shoppers calmly stream into Best Buy in Perkins Township as they open on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 with Black Friday deals. For others Black Friday shopping, and the waiting that comes with it, has become something of a holiday tradition."We've been here for a while, its a yearly thing. We're here for the TV and Amazon Fire stick," Andre Grant of Sandusky said. "This is probably my sixth or seventh year at Best Buy.
