Troy Leon Tackett

SANDUSKY — Troy Leon Tackett, 54, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 15, 2017, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.Troy was born March 18, 1963, in Sandusky, to Troy and Ruth Ann (Greulich) Tackett.He was a graduate of Sandusky High School. He worked construction and roofing in the Sandusky area for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Troy attended Holy Angels Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a hard worker and a Jack of all trades. He was a great dad, husband, father, papaw, brother and son.In addition to his parents, Troy is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Schippel) Tackett, whom he married Aug. 4, 1984; children, Tiffany, Danielle, Amanda, Sterling and Brooke; grandchildren, Miguel, Antonyio, JoCana, Jayden, Tamara, JaNessa, Raeonna, Tristen, Naydia, A'zeveon, Alejandro and Maria; father-in-law, Paul Schippel; sister, Helen (Raymond) Richards; brother, Kurt (Candice) Tackettand; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Friends may also call from 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Joe Steinbauer will officiate.
