Own a piece of roller coaster history

Starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Cedar Point will offer slices of track from the legendary Magnum XL-200 for sale at the Pagoda Gift Shop on the park's Main Midway. The collectible track sections will be available exclusively to guests visiting the park. When Magnum XL-200 debuted in 1989, it changed the amusement industry forever. The Arrow Dynamics-designed coaster became the world's first complete-circuit roller coaster to top 200 feet, creating the now-common term "hypercoaster." The groundbreaking attraction is widely credited with launching the coaster industry's "roller coaster wars," inspiring parks across the globe to compete for bigger, taller and faster thrills. For coaster enthusiasts and Cedar Point fans, these track slices offer a rare opportunity to take home a tangible piece of one of the most influential roller coasters ever built.
