EDISON • Edison High School announced its mos recent students of the quarter: The following students were recognized: — Art: Rosie Wooten — Band: Liza Gornek — Choir: Lily Davis — English: Lizzie Campbell, Mya Koch, America Betancourt, Waylon Puder — Health/Physical education: Bryleigh Hudson — Learning strategies: Kyle Raymore — Math: Zander Lewis, Autumn Enzor, Mya Koch — Publications: Tessa Moore — Science: Eli Hermes, Julia Peters, Autumn Enzor — Social studies: Elianna Heater, Brycen Wobser, Alex Holibaugh — Spanish: Christina Arnold — Technology: Brooks Ballah PORT CLINTON • Bataan Memorial Intermediate Elementary School's fifth-grade students competed in a statewide Bring Our Missing Children Home poster contest. Students were awarded the first-, second- and third -lace spots and honored at the May Awards Ceremony in Columbus. Guided by the school art teacher, Lyra Absten was the first-place winner, Julia Molnar finished in second and Ruby Magrum came in third. Through the contest, schools, law enforcement and children advocate for conversations about child safety. BELLEVUE • Bellevue's incoming seniors trained for the high school's Freshmen Transition Day in August. CLYDE-GREEN SPRINGS • Students volunteered at Clyde-Green Springs Schools' kindergarten screening event. MONROEVILLE • Community members and former students acted as guest readers for Monroeville Elementary School's students. Each classroom met their reader, heard about their job, how they help the community and listened to a story. NEW LONDON • New London Schools' students participated in the Fisher-Titus Day of Movement. NORWALK CATHOLIC • Norwalk Catholic School's elementary students participated in a field day at the end of the school year. WESTERN RESERVE • Sixth-grade students took a trip to Ghostly Manor in Sandusky as a reward for the middle school's State Testing Incentive program.
