Project Noelle's poker run a success

Editor's note: Project Noelle is a local charity that helps children affected by the drug epidemic. It organizes several events and efforts to raise awareness while supporting at-risk families and other community members. SANDUSKY — What started as a motorcycle ride turned into something much bigger on Saturday, May 30, as riders from across the area gathered for the annual Project Noelle Poker Run, helping launch Ohio Bike Week while raising money for children affected by the opioid epidemic. The ride began at Knucklehead Saloon in Huron and brought together bikers, local businesses, volunteers and community supporters for a day filled with great weather, friendship and a shared mission. Riders made stops throughout the area, enjoying the road while helping Project Noelle continue its work supporting children and families impacted by addiction. More than the motorcycles, the event was about people coming together for a cause that touches so many families throughout our region. "Every mile ridden today represented a child who deserves hope and a brighter future," said Keli Clark, founder and executive director of Project Noelle. "The support from this community was incredible, and together we're showing these children they are not alone." The success of the poker run was made possible by the riders, sponsors, volunteers and local businesses who generously gave their time and support. Their participation helped raise funds and awareness for Project Noelle's mission while creating a memorable kickoff to Ohio Bike Week. At the end of the day, the event was a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the life of a child.
