Enjoy handmade crafts, face-painting, funnel cakes

PORT CLINTON — Browse handmade art — from hand-blown glass to clothing and purses to jewelry to toys and wooden creations — and enjoy lunch and delectable treats at the annual Port Clinton Women's Clubs Arts and Crafts Show. The 43rd-annual show is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 12 at Lakeview Park, 1100 E. Perry St., Port Clinton. It's located directly across from City Beach. Parking is available next to the park and on surrounding streets. The Port Clinton Lions Club and K & K Funnel Cakes will offer food and sweets throughout the day, and some of the vendors are bringing cakes and other baked goods for sale. Golden Touch Face Painting will offer face-painting and body art for all ages. More than 60 vendors from across Ohio have signed up to participate. They include: • Local authors • Painters • Wreath and home decor makers • Bakers • Makers of fabric creations and crochet items, such as housewares and stuffed animals • Creators of tumblers, coasters and ID badges; upcycled clothing; goose clothing to dress up porch geese; and purses The Port Clinton Women's Club is a nonprofit whose mission is to improve the community with an emphasis on helping women and children. It is part of the Greater Federation of Women's Clubs of Ohio. Each year, the club awards a scholarship to at least one graduating Port Clinton High School senior. Membership is open to all women.
