Huron's biggest lakefront market yet

HURON — The Huron Lake Front Market returns to Huron Lake Front Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, bringing together local artisans, food trucks, live music and family-friendly activities along the shores of Lake Erie. Presented by Greater Sandusky Partnership and sponsored by Shores & Islands Ohio, the event has become a summertime tradition for shoppers, families and visitors alike. New this year, attendees can enjoy a dedicated kids and family zone located in the heart of the market. The expanded area will feature interactive activities and hands-on experiences designed to create a more engaging environment for children while encouraging families to spend the day exploring the event. "The Huron Lake Front Market is about creating experiences that bring people together and showcase the unique character of this waterfront community," said McKenzie Spriggs, senior director of destination management for the partnership. "The addition of the family zone helps make the market an even more welcoming destination for families while supporting the local businesses, makers and entrepreneurs in our region." This year, the market will feature more than 80 vendors, offering handcrafted goods, artwork, specialty foods, home decor, apparel and other unique products. "Interest from vendors continues to grow each year," said Rachael Summerfield, events coordinator for the partnership. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of food trucks, live entertainment and scenic views of Lake Erie throughout the day.
