UPDATE: Shooting victim dies

Update 7:40 p.m. SANDUSKY — A man is dead after a shooting in Sandusky on Sunday afternoon. Just before 3 p.m., first responders were called to the 1500 block of Pearl St. for the report of an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Sandusky police Chief Jared Oliver. The man was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatement of life-threatening injuries. Several hours later, he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released. After investigating the shooting, detectives focused on Tyler M. Cohen, 28, of Sandusky, as the alleged perpetrator. He was arrested and taken to Erie County Jail. After consulting with prosecutors, a charge of murder was authorized for Cohen, according to Oliver.
