Gear up for Trike Week

SANDUSKY — The Sandusky Library is "wheelie" excited to be hosting our first Sandusky Library Trike Week from Friday, May 29 through Saturday, June 6 at the Sandusky Library, 114 W. Adams St., Sandusky Kicking off the week will be the Bike Parade from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30. Trike Week includes two motorcycle displays: • One in our main front lobby featuring a real, full-size Harley-Davidson CVO trike, compliments of local business Frosty's Dyno Tuning/FKN Performance • A real but kid-size Harley-Davidson trike where visitors can take a "brake" for a photo op. Of course, we mentioned our first-ever Trike/Bike Parade where little trikers and bikers along with their grownups can gear up for some fun on Saturday. Starting at 10 a.m., little riders can come with their trike or bike; dress up as their favorite book character, which is optional; and ride or walk the sidewalks from our main library entrance all the way around to our Adams Street entrance in the bike parade. Following the trike parade, we will have fun outdoor activities, including getting a new helmet, while supplies last, from the Sandusky Police Department as well as enjoying a variety of bike- and trike-inspired fun activities, such as bike helmet decorating, temporary tattoos, bike crafts and coloring pages, bike safety information and safety reflector lights. This is a free event open to the public. Throughout the rest of Trike Week, we'll have passive crafts, activities and photo opportunities along with trike temporary tattoos, motorcycle keychains, bike safety information, coloring pages and more.
