Danbury hires new principal

DANBURY TWP. — Danbury Schools brought on a new administrator for the 2023-24 school year. And their recent hire comes from another Ottawa County school district. "Danbury is extremely excited to announce our new middle and high school principal, Mr. Laramie Spurlock," Danbury Schools posted on its social networking page. "Mr. Spurlock is an experienced educator and administrator who currently serves as the principal of Oak Harbor Middle School. "He brings to Danbury a breadth of experience in both middle and high school and a passion for students and their future," the post continued. "He will transition into the role over the summer and is looking forward to meeting our students and community in the near future." Danbury's current middle and high school principal, Joseph Miller, will become the athletic director and middle school's dean of students next school year. "This move follows the recently announced resignation of Keith Mora, who has elected to pursue career opportunities outside of Danbury," the school district posted in March. "Both Mora and Miller will continue to serve in their current roles through the end of the 2022-23 school year and are committed to ensuring a smooth transition to their successors."
